Here at Hotel Murillo and Suites Murillo Alcázar, we love the privileged setting we enjoy in the Santa Cruz district next to the Real Alcázar de Sevilla, which becomes the set for large film productions.
The most successful series of recent years, Game of Thrones, uses Seville's Alcázar as the base of one of its kingdoms and a large number of its cast enjoyed the charm of our city alongside us.
Murillo Gardens, which are a few metres from the hotel and with which we share our name in honour of the great Seville painter, was one of the sets for this series. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays the role of Jaime Lannister in the series, wasn't recognised by security so he joined the queue and paid his entrance fee so he could enter the complex to join filming. Our guests staying at Suites Murillo Alcázar would surely have come across him and his colleagues filming. There is no other establishment in Seville nearer the Entrada del León than Suites Murillo.
